No more belly rubs
None of my cats are lap cats but Auggie used to love to have her belly rubbed.
Every since she had her dental cleaning and some shots back in October she won’t have none of it. She wiggles and squirms to get back on her feet whenever I turn her over on her back for belly rubs.
Do you think that she’ll ever trust me again?

aawww I bet she will with time.
gentle scritches to her

Of course she will! She lost a bit of her trust in you now, but she will outgrow that for sure!!! No cat can resist a good belly-rub :D

Its a shame that we cannot tell Our Cats that when we bundle them up,and take them away ,that its for thier own good, and that we are not doing it to make them angry with us.
I ma sure that you well be on Belly Rubbing terms very soon.

Awww, poor little girl was upset at meowmie for that! I'm sure that given time she'll come to you for belly rubs again. Pouncer made me wait a whole year after punishing me for bringing in fosters before he cuddled with me again (still waiting for him to snuggle under the covers and him waking me up by making happy feet on my stomach.... but I'll wait as long as it takes for him to forgive me)

The trust will return again and im sure the belly rubs will too

Awww....poor little Auggie. I'm sure she will trust you again in time. Start by gently rubbing down her side and to her belly while she's sitting upright. This may remind her how wonderful tummy rubs are and hopefully eventually she'll roll over on her own one time when you're doing this, then tummy rub time will be back! :)

Definitely. If she trusted you before, she can trust you again. Time and patience is the key. :)
