Sound Familiar?
One morning you see a skinny, scraggly little cat jump out of a dumpster with her great treasure in her mouth; a chicken bone that might still have a scrap of meat on it. So you drop some food, and the next day, it's gone. You keep leaving food, and every morning, it's gone. You begin to see those little eyes under the bushes every morning. Her whole world is looking for that handfull of food to drop. Then she starts waiting out in the open, and she doesn't look so skinny any more. One day you can stroke her soft clean fur while she eats, and she doesn't jump back in terror any more. Then she starts laying down and rolling around to celebrate your arrival. Then....she's sleeping on your pillow.
