Hi, I am Charlie's foster mom. I just wanted to thank AAP for posting Charlie's information and website link! And I also wanted to thank Cataholic for her inquiry regarding Charlie! (Beautiful cats, by the way!)
Charlie has finally made it out of the woods with his pneumonia! We still owe $750 on his vet bill (after having already paid $1,440.00 - half of which were from donations & sales, and the other half from my dollar for dollar money match). This information is listed on his website, along with daily updates on his progress.
The next step will be to take him up to the specialty clinic for his eye surgery evaluation (but we have to finish his antibiotic medications first). Since Charlie is a rescued foster dog, I am hopeful that the clinic might be willing to give us a break on the $3,000.00 lens replacement surgery costs. If not, then the goal will be to raise an additional $1,500.00, through sales and donations, to at least get him eyesight in one of his eyes.
We currently are selling spay/neuter bumper stickers and/or magnetized stickers and sheets of Christmas stickers. We will soon be adding calendars, hand-knitted hat/scarf sets and homemade dog biscuits! The picture of the dog on the bumper sticker was taken by your very own AAP!
