My dear Beenie,
Happy 2nd birthday!
I can’t believe that two years have already passed. I still remember, as if it were yesterday, the night daddy and I brought you home.
You weren’t too sure about us at first. You were scared and tired and wondering why your brothers and sisters weren’t around you.
With the passing of some days and weeks, you became more interested and eventually began snuggling and playing with us. Now we can’t even get you out of the bed! That’s ok. You can stay and snuggle up any time you want.
We love you so much and hope you are happy with us.
I am sorry you had a hard time in the last couple of weeks but I think you will be more comfortable in the years to come. I can’t bear the thought of you ever getting old or even worse, losing you. You mean so much to your Granma, Grandpa, your Daddy… to me ... and your little brother too.
Everyone that meets you falls in love with you.
I am so lucky that you are part of my life. I really don’t know what I would do without you.
I love you so much sweet girl.

That really was a very loving tribute to a very sweet and special little girl. Happy Birthday, Beenie girl! :) Have you taught your brother the joys of balloons, yet? Or are they a special treat just for you? (Sometimes a girl has to have a hobby all her own ;).)

Gingersmom: Thanks! Actually, Frankie doesn't care to play with balloons like Beenie... instead he eats them. The other day I gave Beenie 5 balloons. I heard her pop them but couldn't find the dead balloons. I found out where they were the next day. Frankie was pooping in colors.... pink, blue... orange!
Now I know to run and retrieve the dead balloons asap.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR VERY SPECIAL GIRL, BEENIE!!!!! We see you got to sleep in this morning sweetie and how cute you are sleeping like an angel. You and your sweet little brother are two of our very favorite PT doggies Beenie and we hope you have the best birthday ever. Balloons all around!!
