I have just spent some time outside with Kissy. He seems to be going downhill fast. He will not eat (soft or dry food) or drink.
He is looking at me as if to say " It's my time".
When I pet him, I just feel every bone in his little body through his fur.
I am trying to come to terms with the decision which I will have to make.
Please keep Kissy and me in your prayers tonight.

I'm so sorry, Julie. :( But Kissy will thank you for being so kind to him over the past years and for doing what is right in the end. He looks like such a little sweety. :(
I'll certainly keep sweet Kissy and you in my thoughts tonight, you've been a godsend to him. You've been so kind.

All any one of us ask it to not have to spend our last days without love and to have to "go" alone. He will forever be grateful for the kindness you have shown and the ultimate decision you have to make on his behalf.
Poor Kissy. :( He is so fortunate to have such a wonderful care giver. I'm sure he will be eternally grateful.

Don't feel bad about this Julie, helping Kissy when he asks you to, is the best you can do for him. Poor Kissy :(

Oh Julie, it's human nature to feel bad about having to make such a decision, but know in your heart that you have provided Kissy with love and caring that he would not have had elsewhere. Helping Kissy to a better place is a blessing for him. (((hugs))) to you and Kissy

Here is the latest:
After spending all day today trying to get Kissy to eat, I took him back to the vet again this afternoon.
He is severely dehydrated. We have given him loads of fluids, vitamins etc under his skin, in the hopes that it may boost him a bit, otherwise the vet thinks that his kidneys may be failing. HE says that of there is going to be any improvement it should be almost immediate - well that was around 5 hours ago and so far there is no change.
The vet says this is the last thing we can try - we do not have animal ICU . hospitals etc, and I do not want Kissy to suffer purely because I am not ready to give him up.
My vet is just the sweetest guy in the world - he sat with Kissy and petted him, although there were other patients waiting, and gave me tissues when I started crying.
Please don't stop the prayers yet - we still need you!!
