Last Night I Met.....

Theresa Sokyrka...:eek: :eek: :eek: I'm still in awe...

I'm sure many of you haven't heard of her, she was the runner-up winner of Canadian Idol last year. I've been a huge fan of hers since I first saw her on Canadian Idol last spring. She's currently touring Vancouver Island and is donating up to 50% of each night's profits to various Vancouver Island hospital foundations!!

Anyways, last night I saw Theresa in Duncan, BC and she was so awesome. I can't believe how tallented she is... I know she's going to go very far. She was incredible. She sang Good Mother as an oncourse and it was just so beautiful I cried, lol.

There were 10 backstage passes given away to those who donated to the food bank (which I did), and mine was not one of the numbers called. However a small group of us stayed behind after the concert hoping Theresa might come back up to say 'hi' and she did! Gosh, I can't get over what a sweet person she is! As soon as she saw me she said "I LOVE your glasses!" She signed my CD cover, a picture I had of her and then I got my picture taken with her.

There was so much I wanted to say to her lol but I only have a few moments with her and just told her I thought she was so talented, how I admired her and thanked her for touring the island.

We don;t see Canadian Idol here in the states, but congratulations, it sounds like a great experience! :)

She sounds like a real sweetheart! Isn't it lovely to meet approachable "celebrities"?

Yes, I remember Theresa...she is awesome and I'm so glad you had a chance to meet her.

I have never seen her and I have never been in Canada but she looks like an idol alright well congratulations for getting to see your idol!!! :D
