Smokey got sprayed by a skunk!

Poor pup. He got it right in the face.
I didn't even know we had skunks in the neighborhood!
Now I have to do a full yard scope before I let him out.
My sweet stinky dog...

:o Phew! Mine got sprayed last week. did you try cleaning him with the peroxide/baking soda/dish soap mix? It workd much better than commercial blends and hardly costs anything. I think I paid about $3 for ingredients to mix up enough to do both mine. This website carries the recipe and info:

At least I can stand to be around them now. Unfortunately, a light "aroma" stays with them for months and months and months...

I can feel your pain ( and smell your stink, LOL). My Disney was sprayed by a skunk right in the face about two years ago. Poor little girl, she had to be bathed so many times with the peroxide, soda and soap mixture. I think it took almost a year to completely lose the smell. It seemed to have gotten into her bloodstream because it was on her breath for months and months and she would still stink whenever she got wet or hot.

Hope it doesn't hang with Smokey that long.

I feel your pain. Lady has a vendetta against skunks, and will go after them anytime she smells them nearby, so we keep skunk scent remover around all the time.
