Beach Trip with Kiara

My husband, Sadie, and I were in FL this weekend where his mom lives which happens to be right by Kay. So of course we had to meet Simba, Nala, and Kiara and go to the beach.

At Kay's we got to meet Simba and Nala who showed off with some tricks.

Now don't think that Sadie naturally knows how to fetch. She was just trying to follow Kiara's example. Kiara had to be distracted with the frisbee thrown far out while Sadie was greatly encouraged to fetch a much closer tennis ball.

Florida was so much fun! Sure it was HOT but it's a beautiful place. Thank you Kay for taking us to the beach, we had the best time! Kiara is an awesome athlete and such a fun dog. Sadie enjoyed playing with her and it prepared her well for the long trip home.

Here are a couple of pictures at our hotel. It was on an inlet of a lake which fortunately Kay informed me was full of alligators. I didn't let Sadie close to the water!

I saw a moving pebble in the parking lot which turned out to be the tiniest turtle struggling on his back. I put him in the grass but only after Sadie sniffed him and drooled all over him. He was smaller than her nose.

Wow, you got some great pictures too. I'm so glad that you guys had a great get together. I really enjoyed the videos. Absolutely loved the pic of Sadie's nose and the turtle. That one made me giggle;)

That photograph of Sadie's nose and the turtle is excellent! I'd frame that! :) They're all cute, but, that one looks like it should be in a magazine or book. it's wonderful!

Wonderful pictures and videos, Jenn. :D It was so nice seeing you guys, it's too bad you guys don't live closer. Seems Sadie really liked the beach. :D You guys certainly need to come down again. ;)

That picture of Sadie and the turtle is too precious and what excellent quality.

I wished we lived closer too. Sadie loves the sun and the outdoors but the older she gets the less she likes the cold.

I was lucky to get pictures of the turtle - it was so hot there every time I took my camera out it would keep fogging up for 10 minutes and half my pictures were all hazy!

Hehe, try dealing with that ALL of the time!

Nice air conditioned room to a humid outside = foggy lens.
Doesn't help that the lenses are so big on our cameras, either. :P

Glad you had a good time. I agree about that pic with the turtle. That's great! I've never seen one that tiny before. Duke probably would have tried to eat it. Now can you see why we gripe about the heat and humidity?
