Celebrating Almalfi!

I am Celebrating my dear Almalfi today, on the year anniversary since he arrived him our home as a VSCR rescue.

He's used up yet another 'life' recently, as almost two weeks ago, he started coughing, and stopped eating. I force fed him, while he lingered like that for a week. He saw two vets and a specialist, only to finally convince me that all he had was a URI! I call it the $1000 URI. Last week, he showed interest in food again and now he's eating about 80% on his own.
His other 'life' was spent last fall, while as a rescue he had a terrible flare of Pemphigus Foliaceous. All paws infected, and a broken leg to boot! He lived in a cat sack for six weeks.

Now he's been here one year, and I couldn't help him without the aid of my dear husband and what SCR did for him.
He's an amazing blue boy, with a huge voice. When he does come out of his room, he comes downstairs "kickin a** and takin' names!"
Here's to Malfi, may God give him as many 'lives' as he needs and then some!

I wondered what as happening to our Bag kitty.

Yes, it was a sad day when I broke out the cat bag again.
He wore it at mealtimes only. I told him he had to dress for dinner, and to get his little 'suit' on.

I too remember his beginnings with you. It was such a wonderful and yet heartbreaking story. Almafi has certainly had his share of problems. Poor little guy!
I'm so glad to hear that he is a butt kicking baby now! I can't think of a more deserving kitty.:) :) :)
