ok so one of my two gold fish just died :( i dont know why but he did, and now i think my other fish is lonely cause hes all by himself. is it ok to buy another fish friend for him? like, will he try to eat it or attack it? if i do, then does it have to be the same kind of fish he is?
I don't think your fish will try to eat it or attack it. If you think your fish is lonely, you should get another one but keep an eye on them for the first few days just to make sure no fighting goes on. And I think it should be the same kind of fish because sometimes two different kinds of fish fight.
If you get a new fish you should wait awhile before you put them in the same water/tank. The new fish could have a disease or your current fish could give him one from the tank since you don't know what the one died from.
