Pete's Home!!!!!!

First, thank you all so much for all the prayers, good thoughts, and encouragement. I know how powerful these prayers are and I have no doubt that that is what brought my boy home. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!

I had already done everything I could think of and hubby and I sat on the front porch for hours this evening. I told hubby that I was going to go sit in the backyard for awile and talk to myself. I went and sat in the middle of the yard (thanks for that piece of advice Johanna!) and I talked. Then I cried and prayed out loud over and over. I called to Pete and said where ever you my little Pete Monster I hope you can feel all the love I have for you. Please let it bring you home. After sitting there for over an hour sweating, crying, praying, and being eaten alive by every bug in the world, I gave up. I stood up to go back to the front of the house and I saw something in my daylillies right behind where I had been sitting. I thought it was one of the ferals and I stopped to talk to it. It was so dark but then I heard that precious Pete meow!
Things got bad for a while because he wouldn't let me touch him. He would talk to me but would stay about a foot away from me. I went running around the front of the house and told hubby to gather all the other cats into a room (that was chore!) and prop the front door open. Pete went onto the porch and stepped in the house but saw hubby trying to catch Rosco and he ran back out! It took another thirty minutes of me in a tree and all kinds of other tricks to finally get him back to the porch where he went inside. I slowly came in behind him and shut the door! PETE IS HOME!!!!!!!
He won't let me touch him yet but thats ok. He seems to have a slight limp but thats ok too. Other than that he looks pretty good. He needs time to calm down and eat and I have no doubt that by tomorrow morning I will be mooching all over my precious boy!!!

Thank you isn't enough but thats all I can say. I can finally sleep tonight. God Bless all of you for being so wonderful and helping me through this. A big Thank You to God for bringing my boy safely home.:) :) :) :)

YAY!! :D That's awesome news! I'm so glad to hear he's back in the house :D I'm sure he'll let you touch him again after he's gotten over the scare :p hehe

Woohooo!!!!! what a huge relief! I knew you were going to find him! Thank God he is home and safe.

What a relief! There are people here who think I'm crazy, worrying about a cat on the other side of the world. I'm so glad he's home safe again.

WHEW! I've been checking for good news all day long, and finally!

I'm thrilled that Pete is home and the saga ends.

What a relief. I've been gone most of the day and all I could think about is if Pete came home or not. When I first got on the computer, he still wasn't home and I was so upset.

Lisa, reading your post again, brought on the LES, but they are happy tears for you. I can just picture you sitting in the middle of your yard, crying and praying for the return of your precious Pete and it just broke my heart.

Thank GOD, you spotted him when you did. What an adventure though trying to get him back in the house, but the main thing is that you did. I hope you feel more refreshed now after your shower and that your headache has eased off.

Oh happy days are here again. Let the banners fly and the bells ring out. GORGEOUS PETE IS BACK HOME!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa, tears starting welling up as soon as I seen the title of this thread! I knew Pete would be home soon, and I'm so glad he's back where he belongs!

I'm sure now he knows that it's much better inside!

I was about to go to bed, but I just had to check again and I am so glad I did! The worrying is over, and "Peaches & Cream" is home!!!!!! :D

Lisa, when he lets you love on him again(which will be soon!), please give him some loving from me!

YYYIIIPPPEEE!!! Pete has come home, this news could not be better. I'm sure your precious furbaby will get a good night's sleep after taking care of his empty tummy. In no time at all, he'll be back asking you for head scritchies, tummy rubs, and lots of love. You must be exhausted both physically and emotionally. Another happy PT ending!!!!!

Ok, I'm now fresh and clean and feel such a load off! I can sleep tonight and know that Pete is safe. Believe it or not but that little stinker went back upstairs to the scene of the crime! Of course that has all been fixed now so no more escaping! He has been in the litter box a dozen times so he must have been holding it outside. He is resting and I'm sure he will eat in a little bit.

I know this is one happy household and hubby and I both are so relieved! I now have my whole family back together and I could not be happier.

Thank you all again for EVERYTHING! Isn't it amazing how we do worry about each other and our babies? Again Thanks for all the praying, worrying, hand holding, and suggestions. I used them all and it worked.

If I disappear for awhile it will be because I have been hauled off to the looney bin. I can't believe the neighbors didn't call on that crazy woman sitting in the middle of her backyard crying, begging and praying out loud!;) Oh well, it will be worth it because Pete is HOME!!!!!

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEE! I think all of us are going to sleep better tonight. :D :D :D
