Urgent Help Needed!
I'm trying to post this quickly in General because more people look here.
Lexi and I went swimming, and then we sat in the sun for a little while, then she got up, went down the deck to the grass, sorry for the grusomness, but starting throwing up, what she was throwing up, I have no clue! Thats why I need your help!
Now heres the urgent part, Lexi threw up 4 times, came back up, sat with me, went back down, got sick 3 more times and then stayed down there and starting eating grass, then got sick AT LEAST 5 more times! I'm getting nervous now, because it was yellow, liquidy and also looked like it had some solidness/chuckiness. It was also projectile! :(
I'm scared that I can't help her, and she looks so tired. Her eyes are dull and have no life! :(
I need help now! Please! Anybody?!?!
I want my Baby all better!

This may sound strange... but did you smell her puke and get a real good look at it?
when Kirby got deathly ill he puked up some greenish yellow funky stuff... it almost looked like gravle,, but it wasnt gravle. and it had the most oddest smell to it. its hard to describe...
shes eating grass though.. so maybe thats whats causing her to throw up?

I agree a vet visit is in order. Hoping for the best!
-
Please take her to the vet ASAP!

It sounds like stomach vile. Has she eaten any food recently? Nala throws up a yellow liquid type stuff when she hasn't eaten anything and her stomach's real empty.
-
OH NO!!:( I don't know what to tell you other than try to get her to the vet! I hope that you are feeling better soon Lexi!!:(

That's how it started with Maggy, too. She was just throwing up what I call raw scrambled eggs. Get her to the vet post haste!

Can she keep down plain ol' water? It's likely that she ate something that isn't agreeing with her digestive system. If she can't keep down even water, then she needs to see a vet. Dehydration can be deadly in a hurry.
Got any kaeopecate? (The forumla without tylenol in it) Give her a bit of that if you have it. It may help settle her stomach. I keep a bottle of it on hand at home for occasional bouts of the pukes!
Has she eaten a large dose of fatty food lately(within the last 12 hours or so)--stolen something or got into the garbage? There's a link between an intake of fat and pancreatitis. Pancreatis causes intense vomiting and needs treatment by a vet immediately.
Don't feed her anything until she has gone at least 12 hours without vomitting. Then offer her a very small meal or some rice and hamburger--just a bit. If she keeps that down for another 12, try feeding normally.
If it doesn't stop soon, get her to a vet.

I hope she's better soon.

Wow, if she's thrown up more than four times in less than 12 hours (and considering she's barely 20 pounds!), I think you need to get her to the e-vets right now. A dog regurgitating that frequently with such a small body can perish due to dehydration. My advice? VETS ASAP!!!!

what Kay said is the same thing I thought, my dogs throw up yellow bile all the time when they are hungry, when was the last time she ate? my dogs are on a schedual when they eat so if there food is delayed they throw up yellow bile.

Well, we just got back from 3 emergency vets, Lexi had bloat. :( My poor little girl, thankfully, we caught it early and got her stomach pumped and IV fluids into her. My poor little girl! :(
I was IN TEARS on the way there, she was so quiet! Shes getting better thankfully! I'm so scared that re-bloat will come and she will have to get surgery! :(
Please, send all your prayers towards Lexi in hopes of an early and safe recovery! :( I love you BABY!

Omg Paula, I'm sorry.:( Did she get to come home with you or is she still at the vets? You both will be in my thoughts and prayers!

I am glad you got her to the vet and now know what is wrong and she is feeling better.. Poor babies, they depend on US to know what to do and without us..... well, who knows what would happen to them.
