When can I spay?
Hello all!
Well Baby Mia is doing great eating, playing she is about 9 weeks old now, she still feeds on mama Bella.
My question is when can I get Bella fixed today she was acting like she is in heat, is this possible so soon after giving birth.
Can she get fixed while she is still breast feeding, I have not let her out, she is staying put and playing with baby, but when Mia is sleeping she is going nuts rolling on floor.
Any advice!

Momma can be spayed now. It is no longer neccessary for her to be feeding her baby. Most babies are gone to new homes at 8 weeks and as long as the baby stays with the mother she is continue to feed. Is the baby eating by herself? If not it is time to teach her. Also, yes it is possible for her to be in heat this soon after having a baby. I am sure other will give other advise but I would suggest you make an appointment and have Bella spayed A.S.A.P.

Ideally, Mom cat should be separated from baby for 2 weeks to allow her milk to dry up before spaying. But she will be ready to go into heat, so do NOT allow her outside.
