Yikes! Who is the expert on the rules of the puzzle???

Hi. I've recently begun running puzzles and a situation's come up in Puzzle 112 that I'm not sure how to handle.

I've received a guess that is correct in the quote, but the author's name is incorrect. My assumption is that this invalidates the guess. Is this assumption valid? How has this been handled previously?

I posted a reply to the question in the puzzle. Basically, I was wrong, so I am out.

Yes, that disqualifies the guess, as Fuzzy317 noted, the author's name in this puzzle - and indeed in any puzzle that includes the name, is just another part of the puzzle. Hopefully someone else will guess correctly!
