Kitty Welcome Mat
I always look to PT for helful suggestions and products so I thought I'd pass this along.
I saw it at petco and bought it highly doubtful it would work. I expected my boys to think it felt funny on their paws and jump right over it.
Much to my surprise (and my footsies delight!) it seems to trap a fair amount of tracked litter. Not 100% mind you but it's amazing when I dump it out, how much it has actually caught.
I just thought I'd pass it on.
Welcome Mat

I HAVE THE PLASTIC LITTER GITTERS,OUTSIDE THE LITTER BOXES,THAT YOU GET AT THE DOLLAR STORE.
AND THEY SSEM,TO ATTRACT,QUITE A BIT,OF LITTER,WHICH IS GOOD,CONSIDERING,THE DIGGING,THAT MY CATS DO.
BUT THAT MAT,LOOKS LIKE A GREAT IDEA,AND I WILL SEE,IF I CAN FIND ONE.

Oh yeah .... I have one of those too and it works very well - looks like rubber shag carpet and I was surprised at how nice it feels to my feetsies too!

I actually tried the shaggy green mat and it didn't work this well. This has a grate on top so the sand filters down to a shallow box below. THe green mat always seemed to flick the sand around when I tried to shake it out.

Me, I wonder if I could educate Don Juan and Zerlina on the principles of cause and effect. As in: If we stop tracking litter all over the house, then maybe Mom won't have to use that noisy ol' vacuum cleaner so much. ;)
