Gettin dog to fetch

I have been trying to teach my Jack Russell to fetch a ball, if we are in the house and she is in the mood she will run after and fetch a ball, but if you take it outside she is not interested she goes after it, realisees it is only a ball and then comes back to me, I even tried using treats but she is more interested in the treats!!

Any thoughts????

Well, if a dog doesn't like to play fetch, usually they won't.

Have you tried using a rawhide or toy instead of a ball?
