It's Pearl's Spay Day

I dropped Pearl off this morning at work to be spayed. I'm sure she'll be fine, but I'm getting anxious and antsy about it. Trying to resist the temptation to call them a million times :rolleyes: She is also getting dental work done. She needed a tooth extraction because there was a back tooth poking a hole through the gums and just waiting for an infection to happen.

I am still fostering Pearl because her new dad is getting foundation work done on his new house. He *should* be ready for her soon though, for real this time!

Send good vibes to my precious foster girl! She's such a spoiled princess.

Aww, I understand, Aly! Finn goes in tomorrow! I'm nervous, too. I'm sure they'll both be fine! :)

Pearl will be fine. It's such a routine operation! However, I am sending good vibes as I write this message. Let us know how she is doing.

Dr. Wilson just called me to let me know they were about to start. She's got pain injections, IV catheter and fluids to make this as easy as possible on her. Its a bit longer than a spay procedure since the dental is happening as well. Dr. Wilson wants her to stay until at least 5pm. I'm working at 4, so my boyfriend will come pick her up around 6pm if she's doing okay. I don't want her to have to stay there until 11pm when I leave.

And I'm getting her microchipped. Since she was on the streets before, I don't know if she has a tendency to dig out or escape yards.

Thinking of Pearl and sending out lots of positive vibes. Let us know how she is.

Aw, Pearl is such a pretty little pup.:) I hope she does well at

Best wishes Pearl. I remember when you first got her and wow how she come a long way. Thanks for taking such great care of her.

Dr. Wilson just called again. Pearl is done with everything and doing fine. She went ahead and cleaned all the tartar off of Pearl's teeth for me, how sweet! The tooth that was pulled was a little one and it only needed one suture in her mouth. Dr. Wilson thinks Pearl is 4-5 years old, which is older than I thought she was. I guess its just because she acts like a big baby, I always think of her as one ;)

Ah, so now she's over her Demodex mange, gained lots of confidence, spayed, microchipped, and has a clean mouth. And soon she'll be starting her brand new llife :)

Congratulations to pretty pearl! I hope her new daddy realizes what a gem he is going to be getting! :) Good job getting her ready to start over, aly!
