I've yet to see one that looks blue and tan except for in a book. I love the blue coloring but it doesn't show good on the scanned picture. http://tinypic.com/6f778i.jpg Does anybody else have trouble finding the blue in yorkies or is it just me?

yes, I think I have only seen them in books too, but I haven't really tried because I don't really like yorkies.
the correct color is black and tan...the blue and tan look is just bad breeding. still great dogs thou.
Yup, I've seen a few of them come into my work.
What? I was under the impression that the correct color for a Yorkie was blue (dark, slate) and tan, NOT black and tan. As well, I was told that puppies are born black and tan, but later fade to a dark, slate blue.

i have a yorkie too! his name is ziggy!:)
I have a friend whose Yorkies are more black and tan. My Molly is more of a slate grey and tan. I don't have a good new picture that shows her coloring really well but here are a few old ones:

Yorkies are characters and definitely not for everyone.
My grandma bred yorkies and she had one named Joy who was kind of that color.
Molly's a cutie. In the picture of her with longer hair it looks a little more blue. I was just curious because yorkies never caught my eye until I saw the blue one and I thought they were all supposed to be blue and tan.
