If my Captain knows his stuff... Memphis, Tn. is on a fault line... Kentucky is not that far away!!!
My mom lives in Louisville and I havent heard anything about this. It would probably be a bit scary for those who have never experienced a quake before.
I live in KY and I didn't hear about this?

This is a site that gives you information about earthquakes around the world. You will see the Kentucky earthquakes listed.
I believe this is close to the New Madrid Fault - where the largest earthquake in the United States occurred.
Not sure if that is 100% correct..........but I think so.

More than you ever want to know about the New Madrid Fault!
I heard about it also although the headlines here were "Illinois residents shaken by Kentucky earthquake!" Almost as if they're blaming KY. They said there were actually two of them, one in the morning that was a 2.7 and I don't remember what the other one was, but I'm sure it's nothing like those in CA. ;)
We went through Mammoth cave a few years back in KY and they were mentioning the fault lines and such that are in the area.
Um...I live in central KY, so I would have felt it, but I didn't... how big was it?
