wheel?

Hi everybody! I was wondering if rats like runnning on wheels? Do they need to have one?:confused:

I bought one for mine, but Mine has never used it.

I don't know if all rats are like that, but mine don't even get on the thing. lol

You have to but a wheel made specially for rats, here they are expensive. It has to be made for rats because their tails or feet get caught in them and they could break. A rat wheel looks just like a normal wheel, but there is no spaces in between the bars. Here is a pic of one.

My dad's rats LOVED their wheel!:D

Most rats don't enjoy wheels -- they will just sleep and pee in it. There are the few who do like wheels though, so make sure that if you buy one, keep the receipt just incase.

Some rats love 'em, some aren't interested at all. Mine used it as a bed/stash spot.
