My Dear Max

Max, a stray that we fed but I called my own, sadly passed away. He was hit by a car, my poor boy.. I'm so sorry that I hadn't of found you a home sooner so that this would have never happened. I love you Max and play hard at rainbow bridge may you never be hurt again.:(

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God

I'm really sorry. :( Poor Max, I saw your sig and had to come look. Aww, don't blame yourself... It probably would have happened sooner if you hadn't taken him in. He passed knowing that he was well loved and taken care of. RIP sweet Max, we'll miss you. :(
