Squeaky & Stink Boy
Yep, Peanut and Cracker Jack received new names on our recent trip. Every morning Peanut would follow us around squeaking at us (she squeaks instead of meows) until either it was eventually nap time or we had to leave - thus, Squeaky.
Whew! Stink Boy earned his name at least twice a day! While we were driving he was upset so needless to say his diarrhea came back with a vengence and seeing as how the motorhome is a small enclosed place, everyone immediately knew when he had pooped. Got to the point where I tried to notice as soon as he went in the litterbox and immediately covered it for him. Still stunk to high heaven. As soon as we stopped, he was fine and his poops returned to the normal 70-30 or 80-20 but they still stunk - thus, Stink Boy. ;)
I'm going to post pics in no particular order because that would take longer and I know you're all anxious for pics ;) so here goes.
Oh, my mousie. How'd he get here?

What's out there Squeaky?

Peanut's eventual hang out. If she wasn't out and about she was here.

Of course her box came along for the trip and she was so happy to see it.

The first two nights Stink Boy actually snuggled with me in bed! I was ecstatic and thought this might be the start of something wonderful, but no such luck. Guess he just needed a little reassurance the first couple of days.

One of our friends with her Margarita Wagon. She's infamous on the motorhome board for her margaritas and her 'rita wagon. :D

The engine is under the bed, so when we stop the bedroom heats up a little. Peanut was laying on the Corian to stay cool as CJ lounged on the bed.

Now Peanut's awake and CJ is airing his tummy out.

The royal sceptre was duly kissed.

More tummy airing.

CJ was on the dash checking things out (we were stopped for the night and not moving).

Something must have made an odd noise because he got major airplane ears and actually held this pose for about 2 minutes.

More lounging.

More royal sceptres. They were very prevalent for some reason.

Not sure if he wants to get any closer or not. Fortunately he decided against it and paid no attention to an open door. No Dartman here - whew!

Breakfast as usual.

The vented part of where Peanut is sniffing is part of the slide-out so there must be air coming through here from the outside. She spent quite a bit of time sniffing at it everytime she walked by.

They both immediately notice any little nook or cranny that they might be able to crawl into to check out, so needless to say Peanut was immediately on it when I started my computer up. She wanted so bad to get in behind the laptop but the durn hole wasn't big enough - meowmie made sure of that. :)

Couldn't fit in that side so how about the other side?
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...5/f402d049.jpg
I had to move the laptop over so it made that hole too small for her.

Where'd Stink Boy go?

And that's it! All in all the snots handled the trip very well. Thanks to Jen and SAS I went to a vet armed with the name of some meds to see if I could get him to calm him down while we were driving. Turns out the vet gave me the name of some allergy medicine (Chlortrimeton or something like that) that should have helped him relax. Didn't work in the mornings and he fussed and fought the carrier almost all morning. The afternoons were better but I think that's because he basically wore himself out in the morning and it was nap time anyway, so the pill helped make him that much more drowsy and we eventually got at least 5 minute intervals of quiet....for awhile anyway. I'm hoping he will get used to this and realize he's not going to be hurt. I told Peanut to talk to him but I think she was secretly gloating that he was such a wimp. ;)
I really enjoy having them with me and I know they're much happier than being home alone too....once we stop that is. ;)

WONDERFUL pictures! It's so good that you are able to take them along with you like that---especially once they get accustomed to it. Sorry about the diarrhea from "Stink Boy", though! Glad to hear he settle down some once the traveling was pretty much done.
Thanks for posting the pictures!

GREAT pictures! I am torn between the one of him in the closet with his nose sticking out and the one of him checking out the exit ;) What a cutie pie!

Great pictures!!!! Looks like you had a really good trip. I bet CJ was nervous because it was his first ever trip in the motorhome...give him time and I bet things get better.
PS....I know exactly what you mean when you say you know he pooped right away.....I'm on the porch with all my little ones and it never fails that in the middle of the night I awake to STINK!!!

It sounds like a wonderful trip. :) You all had some exitement and new things to explore. In fact, I think CJ did quite well, he seems to be very relaxed in some of the pictures. :D What a joy to have him snuggling up with you in bed. :) :p
Thanks for sharing.

I loved all the pictures. That CJ sure is a cutie, even though a stinky one. Hopefully he will learn this is just another fun way of life and settle down. I'm sure you really enjoyed having them with you.

I was ROTF looking at the "airplane ears"! What a look that was!!
I want to come back as a pampered cat in my next life.
-
Thank you for sharing your pictures!!! Squeaky looks pretty as ever and well, *Stink Boy*?:p I guess if the shoe fits....
I hope you had a great trip - did you try the 'ritas from the wagon??:D
-
Great picture, Debbie!! Looks like your motorhome is VERY comfortable and BIG!!
When are you going to take a trip out west?!
Since it was his first adventure, I'm sure CJ will calm down eventually. Give him some time. I'll bet all that stinky poop was just from nerves :p

You're home! Did the kitties pick up a southern accent there in Alabama? Do you make them stay in the cages while moving? We let the E's out of the cages in the truck....Eddie with harness and sweet Edwina without. Eddie sat in his cage when moving nonetheless with just his head out. I think it made him feel secure....silly boy!

What great pics, Debbie! I'm so glad to hear their first trip went so well. Before long, they will be world travellers with no problems at all!;)
