Poor MooShoo....

Yesterday was SO stressful for him, I decided to pull him from the second day of the cat show.

This is where he's been since we got home last night:

I felt so bad for him! Towards the end of the day yesterday, he starting hissing at the other cats while I brought him back to his cage. Plus, when his number was called, I had to yank him out of his cage in the middle of his nap. He was NOT a happy camper. So, I guess his show days are over with.

Notice the difference in his eyes vs. Paulie's eyes. That's what Moo's eyes SHOULD look like. Damn breeder!!! :mad:

After Moo got his ribbons (he placed second best Household Pet in one ring and 6th best Household Pet in another), we'd have to stand up and tell everyone a little bit about our cats. When I told them that MooShoo was a rescue from a breeder, all the judges asked who the breeder was. I told them Lisa Bressler and EVERY SINGLE judge knew who she was and heard the story of Moo and the other's rescue. When Moo was rescued, Lisa's house was awful!! I'm surprized animal control didn't shut her down. There were dead cats everywhere. Anyway, the judges asked me if she was still breeding. I had heard that she moved out of New York to Washington state and opened up a new cattery under a different name. Turns out she's been banned from TICA, CFF and CFA.

NOW you know why I have such a distaste for breeders.

End of story.

poor tuckered out MooShoo. Well at least you both got to experience showing together and Moo just didn't like it. But either way MooShoo is "Best of Show" in our books.

Some breeders need to be shot and hung out to dry. They have no concern for the animals they are breeding they are just in it for the $$$$$ and if that is the case they shouldn't be in it at all.

Good Job MooShoo on your short show career but hey at least meowmie got that great kitty bed. :D

Get some rest Moo! It sounds like you did well despite the stress of the show.
That bed is really cool though! And your story about the breeder makes The Tribe hiss too! Some people just treat animals like groceries - something to buy and then use up and throw away. Glad you were there for MooShoo man!

Love the pictures! This Aby looks like my Tama, I love seeing the blue Abys at the cat shows, but usually there aren't that many of them.

Although I know Filou and Tigris are the most handsome cats ever- this is why I never took them to a show. I know there are kitties who really enjoy the lamplight but mine wouldn't.

Donna thank you for seeing to Moo's welfare first. A lot of people want the ribbons and don't seem to notice the stress on the cat.:mad: Some cats are great at shows but you can tell that some of them really don't need to be there.

I loved all the pictures but my very favorite ones are of sweet MooShoo! He is just adorable and I would have given anything to kiss him to pieces in that first picture!;) :D

Awww, poor Moo! He almost looks human lying there. I'd love to see just how soft and warm he really is.

Aww, snuggles to poor Moo! I hope he feels more like himself soon.

No, I kept it. When I got up on Sunday, Maya Linn was in it. It's probably gonna take them a while to get used to it.
