RIP Dewey

This morning we finally let Dewey rest. He is not hurting anymore, he is no longer weak. He can run and eat and be happy. He was only with us for two weeks, but he has left an impression in our hearts that will last forever.

I wish I could have gotten to know you better. I wish we could have played fetch or gone to the park. There is a wonderful mountain that I think you would have liked. I think we are going to spread your ashes there. There are trees and grass, there's even a creek there. We already miss you so much, but in my heart I know you are better now. I know we did the right thing.

Please know that your mommies loved you so very much. You were our baby.

RIP Dewey! Hugs, Laura and Alexa. I know how hard it was to let him go but he is in a better place now. You did a wonderful thing by giving him a loving home for the short time you had him. You will be in my thougts and prayers.

I've been trying to dodge memorial all morning because I knew what i'd see. I'm happy and sad at the same time.

Happy because Dewey got to experience such love and devotion from two wonderful mommies on his last days. Happy because Dewey is now without sickness.

I know is was such a short time but I too fell in love with the sweet boy. The bandanas I chose for him are still on Kiara's crate and I just keep looking at them. :(

I'm so sorry he had to go so soon but you girls have probably made him the happiest fur-angel that will always be by your sides.
