Help!!!

hi!

my friend's dog, Jasper, suddenly fell ill, he's 5 years old. His hind legs suddenly became numb and he just kinda drag his hind legs in order for him to walk. Jasper made a trip to the vet and he was confined for examination. The vet said that a nerve in his legs was destroyed and that made his hind legs useless. What's worse is that the vet said that Jasper won't be able to walk again, EVER! This happened too fast -- just within one day. The vet also said that his liver is failing. HOW COME?!? :confused: What kind of sickness is this???

I don't know what happened to Jasper. Poor guy.

I only recall one afternoon some years ago when my mom's cat got a brain haemorrhage (I guess that's the English word for it) and lost power in his hind legs. He never re-gained strength in them.

Jasper is very young though. I hope someone else knows more... It's strange that this happened out of nothing.

Sorry I have no insight on this. Maybe someone else will know more :confused:

Jasper will be in my prayers.
