A new kitty of sorts in town, a short story

There was a mini uproar this weekend when I put down my new kitchen rug.

Rocky: "Hey Jazz, who is that new orange kitty?"

Jazz: "I don't know Rocky but I think there is going to be trouble."

Rocky: "Well I'm just going to hang out here with the new dude."
Ripley: "Uh, excuse me, but there are enough cats here already."

Then Scout decided to show me that she is the only orangie in my life.

Funny how they know when there's something new . . . they just have to get their smell all over it!

BTW, cute rug! Seems like I've seen that somewhere before, but I can't remember where . . . where did you find it?

Christa - I found it at Big Lots for $4.99. It's the cushion type that is suppose to relieve the stress on your feet and legs. The one I replaced had a gray cat on it in a more fall setting. I have to replace them about every 5-6 months because of wear and plus the cats pick the foam from the bottom.

We have a BIG LOTS here, hmmmmm! Cute rug, but even CUTER pictures and story! Isn't if funny how kitties notice EVERYTHING??? I know mine don't miss a thing around here! Gotta love that Scout trying to hide that "new orangie" from mommy!!!:D

By the way I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has to replace their rugs every so many months. I always thought that maybe Mystic was abused by a rug in her last home but it's good to know that it's just a cat thing and that she is no different from your babies. ;) ;)
