Personally, I'm not a fan of PETA. They've did some things in the past I am suspect about...however, I would be wary over believing that site. It offered no notes as to where it got its information or quotes from. Even though the quotes were cited by name, it didn't mention if the author had talked to the person or if he had gotten them from other sources. He can't back up his claim with legitimate facts. Perhaps they are killing animals and if they are, that's horrible, but I wouldn't take his word for it alone. If he can't tell me where he got his facts so I can check his sources, I have to doubt him.
What a load of baloney!
Being a PETA member myself I do know that this is not hidden information from anybody. When you are concerned about a group, positively or negatively, you learn about them. I am a member because I agree with some of the causes, however every group has its downfalls, look at the SPCA. I think that it is immature for PETA to post billboards and signs everywhere just as it is for this sign to go up. People who autamatically trusted this group to take care of their abandoned pets should have done their research, as with the case of euthanized pets going for disection. I have to defend them in some way. No, I don't agree with the ethics of them euthanizing all of these animals (the aspca also euthanizes this percentage of animals), but look at all the good they have done. They created better living conditions for animals in circuses because they made people aware, they got KFC (and other chains) to (well maybe kfc told the truth) have better conditions for their animals, the exposed Iams and other companies that hid what they were doing. I still support the March of Dimes, although they are killing animals and doing inhumane research, because they do good things for children. Anyway, I think it may be surprising to you guys since you expected more from this group, but they are no better or worse than every other group out there.
I am not a fan,of PETa,telling Children,that thier Prents are Murderers,if they wera fur.And from what I have read,PETA,does not beleive,in people having Pets.There are a lot,of things,that they do,that is good,but,the fact,that they euthanize,Animals,is from documents,that they filed themselves,with the Federal,and State Governments.
Not another PETA thread. -_-
This smear campaign was started by a Non Profit Group, NOT, This campaign has some heavy Lobbyist backing.
Well did ya'll know that the Center for Consumer Freedom is a front group for the restaurant, alcohol and tobacco industries? It runs media campaigns which oppose the efforts of scientists, doctors, health advocates, environmentalists and groups like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, calling them "the Nanny Culture -- the growing fraternity of food cops, health care enforcers, anti-meat activists, and meddling bureaucrats who 'know what's best for you.'? They used to formerly be called the Guest Choice Network? This outfit is headed up by Richard Berman, who advocates for Corporate America, huge Pharmaceutical companies and Tobacco Lords.

Shelters all over the United States put down 13 million animals a year. Peta has a solid background in how they feel the Feral cat population should be handled. It is not all warm and fuzzy, however, neither is the life of most feral cats.

The Center for Consumer Freedom Is not a friend of animals. They hide behind a non profit organization with the backing of rich and powerful lobbyists. They are fighting for Corporate America. They are behind animal research, exploitation, drugs, alcohol, and marketing campaigns that target children.
Boy this was dredged up from a year and half ago, buries it again.
This may have been dredged up from a year and a half ago. But the Lobyists are starting a whole new smear campaign as the court date once again approaches. I think it is prudent for people to be informed as to just who is the orgainisation behind the Non Profit Organisation.
They actually tell children that? I do not agree with fur, but I do not think it is right to tell children that their parents are murderers if they wear it.Quote:

Wow. To me that is going just a little too far.Quote:

I mean so many celebrities donate to petta .. I'm sure they would not if they knew excacly how and why petta was doing this. Yes petta can go overboard but I think this is all realy weird to me, don't they want to help animals not hurt them.
I think mostly everyone is getting tired of PETA. lol One time that kid who was in Home Alone (can't spell his name) tried to release a tank full of LOBSTERS!!! He wanted them to be "free". As if they really could survive on the streets of L.A.?!!? PETA is beginning to become a little crazy with stuff like that. No offense of course.
PETA was dressed up like animals and handing children syringes filled with blood? I would like to see one reliable independant news report about this. One link that is not put out by Rick Berman and his lobbyist front group. This sort of incident would have resulted in a genuine media frenzy not to metion FELONY charges of child endangerment.
