How is it decided that a pet is the pet of the day. I would love to enter my dog, abbie, but I'm not sure how they decide, and I just like knowing about that stuff. Does your pet have to really be SPECIAL, my dog loves other types of animals, but I'm not sure whether that is SPECIAL enough! :)

I'm not sure how Karen and Paul decide but it's probably just a random thing...Go ahead and submit Abbie! It may take some time before she is chosen however because I am sure there are lots and lots of entries...

We decide based on many factors: the quality of the image (no cut off ears, or blurry photos, for example), and the qualityy of the information about why the pet is special to you. It doesn't need to fit anyone's definition of special but yours. The more you tell us, the better. Also make sure the information is complete, see http://PetoftheDay.com/submit for what I mean!
