Mini-Meeting! *16*

^__~ the meeting today was REALLY fun! I wanted to post some pics to.. erm.. lighten the mood here. We got to meet Miko!! He is the coolest dog ever, he was so sweet and mellow and Gonzo and him got along really well. It looks like I'll be pupper-sitting him all of July (while Di is in WA)! :D I'm so excited! All of the dogs were SO good together, they're a happy little group. We walked around the dog park and by the bay trying to think of ideas for Miko's party :p not a lot of ideas, but we have a month, and it'll be fun anyway :)

Gonzo has also found a new girlfriend :D Giselle! He loved her, a little bit too much. . n_n. . they were so cute together, OMG! anway, heres a few pictures :)

Gonzo is sooooooooo cute. Everytime I see Gonzo, Elvis and Blaze I love border collies even more. I told my dog trainer I wanted one and she said they never stop and they ALWAYS need something to do. What is Gonzo's personality like? I love him :p

Oh yeah, why is Miko wearing goggles? LOL. That's really funny :D

P.S. Gonzo is the most awesomest dog name.

awww thank you! Border Collies *are* pretty non-stop. . like, while we were there Gonzo tried to herd about 5 dogs that came up to us (he was crouching and staring at them). A lot of BC's can be picky about their friends ^_^! In a lot of ways, they're polar opposites of Labbies :D LOL! At least, when I was visiting my sisters Black Lab, I noticed that labs are more hyper and a little bit more headstrong, and generally just love everyone. BC's tend to be more reserved toward strangers (and insanely loyal/sweet to people and dogs they know), high energy, and super sensitive to training. . usually, one NO will completely correct a BC. I'm sure you would be a great BC mommy, you dedicate so must time and energy toward Riley! BC's need to be constantly physically/mentally stimulated, and usually need at least 1 hour of good off-leash running/playing and one or two training sessions a day. There are SO many Border Collies in shelters and in rescue, you would have hundreds to choose from! And, rescuing can be better because if you rescue an older pup or an adult dog, you already know their personality and if they'll get along with Riley ;). . meh. Sorry for the long reply! BC's can be kind of a handful, but they are addictive once you get one ^_~

I would like to! Maybe I could adopt a border collie mix, maybe that would be a little less hyper. We saw a dog at the dog park yesterday that was a lab, bc mix. :)

thanks :) they did have fun! Gonzo slept the whole drive back (which took 3 hours :eek:)

oh, and Di got Miko blue-blocker Doggles because he squints a lot in the sun. . a lot of dogs with light colored eyes are more sensitive to bright light. he looks sooo cute in them! Yep, I'm waay too excited to babysit Miko for a whole month :D I can't wait!

I have seen a few Labbie/BC mixes ;) very cute! good luck with finding a pup, there are tons of BC rescues everywhere that might be able to help you out ^_^
