I found on bichon.ca that dogs can distinguish,shades of blue and violet.Can also discern shades of gray people can't.Cannot see red,green,orange or yeelow,but can see in dim light and they have better peripheral vision than humans.

I disagree with the yellow. I had a Dalmatian foster that would go bonkers whenever a yellow car or bright blue cop car would go by.

the different colors, but they are pastel like or faded. I've never heard that they can not see particular colors. They do not see the brillant colors that we do. Dogs have better night vision than humans, so it follows they would see more shades of grey that we can.
