Happy Birthday Lucky!!

My "baby" Lucky turns eight years old today!! We are so thrilled that 2 years ago he almost didn't make it to his 7th Birthday, and now today he is once again my "baby kitty"!!

Debbie: Lucky had the same condition as Bassett (chylothorax I think was the name) and was very sick two years ago. And now, Bunny- he looks gorgeous:) I am so happy that I had a chance to meet him:)

Yes, Lucky had and beat Chylothorax. That is where fluids built up in his chest cavity, for unknown reasons. He was tapped several times each time they took out about a cup and a half of fluid. He was also in the hospital for a week with a tube connected to him where they tapped him hourly.

Unfortunetly there are many cats (and dogs) out there that do not survive this and there is no cure or magic pill to make it go away. Lucky was just....well lucky!! :) He still sleeps on the right side of me every night and yes, I still check his breathing (old habits die hard :rolleyes: )

He had a great day yesterday, even shared some tuna with his brothers!! :D
