Please meet my RB Pepper
I wanted to share my RB baby, Pepper. He was a black and silver poodle my parents bought from a breeder for my 14th birthday back in 1981. He was my first all mine pet and my best little buddy. He was totally dedicated to me and if I wasn't around then he was totally dedicated to my mother. I loved that little guy so much. I even snuck him in into my dormroom and later in my apartment when in college.
We never had him neutered, mainly because there were no other dogs around and he was indoor only so we never saw the need. Unfortunately my vet never mentioned it either and right after Pepper's 11th birthday he got sick. He had the equivilant to prostate cancer for dogs because he was never neutered. On March 31, 1992 my little Pepper went to the Rainbow Bridge. Last year when my mother died the one thing that I kept thinking was that Pepper greeted her on her journey to a better place.
My special baby. I still miss you.

This was taken not too long before he died.

I hope it's okay I put this here instead of the memorial board. I just wanted everyone to see my baby.

That is adorable! :) We never forget our first pets.. I still miss my RB Benny.. he was a yellow lab/beagle mix.. he lived to be 17.. He stuck by my side when I came home from the hospital, and he left my side when I was 14, in 1998.. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, to let him go.

How adorable. Thanks for sharing. My very first dog as a kid was a poodle that my mom scraped up off the middle of a busy highway after he had been hit by a car. When she passed what she thought was a dead dog, she thought she saw it move so she went back to check and he was alive. We named him Highway. He was my protector. Whenever I got in trouble and my mom tried to spank me, Highway would jump up and down pulling on my clothes to get me away from what he saw as danger. Poodles rock. :D

What an adorable little guy. I'm glad you decided to post here and share him with us. You never ever stop missing them, they leave pawprints on your heart forever. I am sure that there was a most joyous reunion when your mother met him at the bridge... I imagine a little furry catapult as he rocketed to meet her. :)
