March - update on Kelcee

She seems to be doing well. We have lowered the Prednizone to 1/2 every other day. She did REALY well with 1/2, then full, every other day. But less steriods are better for her. So I probably won't try to go any lower unless she starts doing laps around the house. She is eating pretty good now still. But not as much as with mre steriods. I really can't believe that the vet thinks she has only months left to live. She really seems fine. But not fine enough for me to take her off the 5 meds a day.
Here she is this afternoon, I guess telling me I need to get off the computer and do something. She never lays on my 'messy' desk. But she wanted to be right with me.

I love the pic of her on your desk - she loves her hooman! I am sad to hear that she is so sick, I must have missed the story. I hope she prooves the vet wrong and lives long past the estimated 4 months.

They think she has IBD and she is in kidney failure. She has been sick since last August, lost lots of weight. They took her off her kidney food and she now is eating food for the IBD. Who knows which food would have done her more good. But she had stopped eating the kidney food anyway. So at least now she eats. But has now improved a lot !!!!

She's beautiful! I hope her health continues to improve and she shares more time with you.

There have been mant Pets,and Huamns to,taht have lived,long after the Doctors,have said,taht thier time,was going,to be up,and we are all,On Pet talk,hoping,and praying that Kelcee,is one,of them.

I am so glad to hear she is feeling better. I have been wondering about her.

I just looked on the calendar and it was August 28th that Kelcee started taking 2 prednisones a day. So she would eat. We changed her food that day too. Later after the test results came the other meds.

Oh Kelcee! You look so beautiful and I'm so sorry to hear your ill.

I don't visit the cat side very often and I did not know that Kelcee had been sick. I am so sorry to hear about this. I'm glad to hear that she is feeling better today. I hope the doctors are wrong and she has lots of time left with you. She is a gorgeous girl. I'll keep her in my thoughts and say a prayer for her.
