My husband's sister is wanting the family to go on a trip to Cherokee, NC. We plan on staying in a cabin near Pigeon Forge TN during evenings and nights. We will be going April 22- April 24th maybe 25th.
I was just curious if anyone has been to Cherokee and how you liked it?
I was there about 15 years ago. I liked it.The Smokey Mountains are beautiful and while we were there we visited an Indian reservation. We had some friends that lived near there and spent Thanksgiving weekend with them. If you can go I'd go! :)
Yep, I have been everywhere in that region (Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cherokee, etc)- breath taking. Absolutely LOVE it. I stayed on a horse ranch tucked in the mountains, it was a blast. I plan on going back to the Smoky's some time soon- maybe next year.
Yeap, been there and really enjoyed it! We used to go several times a year, but we haven't been in two years.
I hope we get to go again this year, we usually just camp out when we go. That is a lot of fun.

I haven't actually been to Cherokee in a long, long time. I remember being frightened as a little girl of the Indian in full garb with feather headdress and everything. My dad had to stand in the picture because I wouldn't stand by him alone! LOL!!!!!
I have sort of thought about going up there to go to the casino (Harrah's) that is on the indian reservation...........Hehehe! They have great concerts there. I think Cherokee is about 2 1/2 hours from here, not a bad trip at all.
The surrounding area is beautiful. I know you would enjoy it.
We have been looking online and it does look like a beautiful place.:) Rob was talking about maybe going to the casino but no sure if we will or not.
I think it will be nice to get away for a weekend.:)
