yet another budgie!!!
i got another budgie! here's how it all happened...
i was at work today and saw that this one older budgie was beating up on a younger one. i swished my hand around to break it up and i thought nothing of it. i went back to the cage and the older budgie had killed the younger one.:(
when the manager got there, i told him what had happend. he just said "it must have been weak."  the older one was bugging another young one and he swished his hand around to break it up. a while later right before i was leaving the older one was at it again! this time he was gonna kill!
i told one of the employees and they told me to put it in the back that it must be weak.....there we go with the weakness agian. the cage it was gonna go in was way too small, and i wasn't about to make the poor bird suffer any more. i scooped it up and brought it home with me.:)
i'm so done with the way my fellow employees care for the animals! just throw them in the back. they will die sooner or later. i'm gonna have a house full of animals by this time next year!hehe
i will post pics later. i also need help on a name. prefrably a name that can fit boy and girl cause i'm not sure of the sex yet.:D

update!
not sure of the sex, but it doesn't really matter. i gave him/her the name Nipolion. i thought since the store people thought he was so "weak" i'd give him a mighty name.
he's sitting in his cage kinda checkin everything out. Picasso is talkin to him and is very excited to have a fellow budgie in the house. i hope that they can share a cage someday soon.

Congrats on the new addition. I'm a budgie-holic and I have a hen sitting on five eggs right now. She usually has clutches of 9-10 so I'm expecting 9 eggs to hatch. I'm usually fairly good at sexing young budgies. Can you post a pic of him/her?

awh poor thing. Hopefully the old one will get sold soon and no more will die... Maybe try and convince them to get another cage for that one?? Its worth a try. Congrats on the new addition.:)

congrats!!! I hope you can persuade them to put the killer in a seperate cage. Welcome home Napoleon!!
-
thank you all!
i will try to post a pic today or tomarrow. if your good at telling sex of budgies i'll post a pic of Picasso also. i'm not sure what he/she is either.
i told them they should try putting the killer in another cage and of course they don't listen. the bird killed another little blue budgie today.:(
Giselle, don't forget to post pics of the babies when they come!:D

Lemme guess.....Killer is a female? Those females...*sigh*
Lute, you should try pointing out that bird lost is money lost. I hate for profit to be put first, but I guess that's how things go. Maybe then they'll place Killer in a different cage because you don't want "damaged goods".
Please post pics of the budgies. I love ID'ing young budgies ;) It gives me extra practice. And Of course! Pictures of my chicks will be posted everywhere once they hatch!:p

not sure if the killer is female or not.
there is another sick blue parakeet in the back of the store. i really want to bring it home too, but i can't bring two home in less then 3 days. poor Lucy is having a tough time sharing the love.
i put the two keets in the same cage today. i had their cages right next to each other and they were trying to preen eachother through the bars. they are getting along great.
out of the 4 budgies i've ever had Nepoleon is the easiest to tame. she/he likes to be held!
i took some pics and i'll post them this eavening
