Calcium Oxylate stones/crystals

Rutherford's bladder stone is Calcium Oxylate, the opposite of the crystals that his current food prevents.......SO, they are starting him on a different food. Eukanuba Moderate PH. Has anyone used this? Has anyone else's cat had these stones/crystals and what are YOU feeding? And the one thing I wonder, and will be asking the vet (but if anyone knows.....) is: Could he have gotten these crystals BECAUSE of the C/D food? Maybe regular cat food would be OK for him? Let me tell you, this food is PRICE--EEE. $16 for a 5.5 pound bag. :eek: I sure hope he eats it. :p

PHew! That is HIGH!! But we gotta do what we gotta do to keep our babies healthy. Hope you find a solution that isn't so expensive!

Have you tried their website? Sometimes the companies offer coupons if you sign up with them online as a frequent buyer, etc.

Feline X/D comes in wet and dry. If your vet offers Hill's, they can get X/D. (I used to do the food ordering at the vet, its VERY easy to order a different/new food.)

Poor you, poor Rutherford. This has to be frustrating and wareing on you.

That is pricee,and I once bought Medi Cal Food,for Mr scrappy,and Michael,the Kitten ate it all,as Scarppy,wouldnt touch,it with a ten foot pole!
