Camera Help

Okay. I'm trying to unload some pics I just took onto my computer and nothing happens. I plug in the camera to the computer, turn the camera on and then a small window pop up like always which says retrieving device contents... then nothing happens! I've tried so many times but nothing happens... Any ideas on what the problem might be? :confused:
