Global Greyhounds Adoption Auction

http://www.globalgreyhounds.com/ is a site run by and for racing professionals to discuss issues pertaining to the racing business, breeding, training, veterinary issues and adoption. Twice annually there is an auction of stud services to raise money for greyhound adoption. The Winter 2004 auction raised $7,000 which was topped by the Summer 2004 effort which raised $10,000.

This year, greyhound and non-greyhound related merchandise has been added. In all, there are 38 sire services on offer and 98 articles of merchandise and other services including apparel, jewelry, magazine subscriptions, computers, thouroughbred racing books, and much more. All proceeds go to benefit the groups whose name appears next to the item. The auction runs February 4th-6th. Go to:

Just in case anyone might be interested, the auction ended up with 43 stud services and more than 150 items of merchandise. More than $22,500 was raised all of which went directly to greyhound adoption groups.
