My Turtle, Izzy

I finally have photographs of my pet turtle, Izzy, online. I think Izzy is about 5 or 6, but I could be wrong. If anyone knows how to tell the age then let me know. She is an ornate box turtle. very cute as far as turtles go. Igor is the gent in the pictures. He is not an ornate box turtle. I'm not sure his exact species. I know he's a box turtle.


This is Izzy's first day with us.

This is Izzy's first meeting with Igor.(Igor is about 26 years old and Male.) He was very interested in having a friend. He hasn't seen another turtle for about 12 years or so. Poor guy.

Have you ever checked out the pictures of previous Pets of the Day posted on this site?
Go to "Search" and select TURTLES from the dropdown menu. There are lots of cuties there! I especially love Taco and Tamale. Tamale is a Yertle look alike and Taco looks just like your Igor. http://PetoftheDay.com/talk/smile.gif

yes they did stretch out. Izzy still spends most of her time in the under ground hibernation cave still, but Igor sits on the feeding rock and food, ALL DAY!
