I love all Aussie's but in order my favourites are:

Red merle
Blue merle
Red Tri-colour
Black Tri-colour
solid red

how do you tell apart aussie from border collies?

aussies, are bulky, they have no tails, they do not have the "eye" they have total flopped ears(so do BCs but aussies always have flopped ears) BCs come in all colours, BC come in all coat lengths, and BCs are still working dogs, while Aussies are showdogs.

Aussie's can have rose ears too:) They used to be my top favourite breed before I fell in love with Tollers so I know quite a bit about them. They are also still used for herding, just not as often as Border's, I personally prefer them over a Border but I love both breeds:)

did not know about the rose ears lol but all I meant by aussies being show dogs and BCs being working dogs is that far more aussies are show dogs, then working dogs, as opposed to BCs who are far more working dogs then there are show dogs. makes sence in my head anyway lol. as for colours I like the pinto and the all black best, and I like the working style better, they are leaner and not full of hair and bulk, I dont like that in any breed of dog.

I like the red harlequin

I love all the colours but I was just doing the recognized colours by the AKC! They are Black Tri, Red Tri, Red Merle and Blue Merle! LOL! But they are all gorgeous!
