mutts are "in" in Hollywood

Just wanted to share...

Several Hollywood types have been spotted around town with their mutt companions. One of my magazines, Organic Style, had a photo essay of the celebrity owners and their furry friends, many of whom have been adopted from rescues. While I think it's wonderful that these stars have looked beyond expensive purebreeds, and I can't deny that it might encourage other less famous folk to adopt mixed breeds from rescues, I find I usually hate the tone of these articles--that mutts are suddenly "cool" only because Kirsten Dunst and Charleze Theron have them.

Feh. And so my love/hate relationship with the entertainment industry continues...
