My Boys

I'm so pround of both of them! No drama or jealousy like I feared. Really, on the way to Ohio, I was having serious doubts. I was wondering if I was doing the right thing and all. I think Duke likes him. He does try to herd him a bit by following him around but it's done in a curious way, not harmful. Doogie was under the bed today and I came in to find Duke's back half sticking out from the bed, rear in air with tail wagging like crazy. I took this pic just about an hour ago. I am going to have some great Christmas cards this year!

They're both so adorable! Glad they get along so well! Reminds me of my RB Corey when I first brought my Sassy cat home. She was the first real friend he had (other than a few g.pigs) and I was so worried they wouldn't get along or he would hurt the kitty. (Corey was 92 lbs, Sassy 2lbs)They hit it off beautifully!
I'm sure Duke and Doogie will be bestest friends! :)

Val, they look like the best of buds already. Doogie is just gorgeous! And I cannot forget our sweet adorable Duke for being such a good boy! Isn't he just the greatest? What a sweetheart he is, I love what you said about him wagging that cute tail at Doogie!

That is so kind and generous of you to take Doogie into your home. And also, it's so wonderful that Duke and Doogie are getting along so well already. The pictures you posted look like they are the best of friends, very sweet!!:)

Oh, you know, dogs and cats are sooo much smarter than we are.

Here we are marveling at how well they are getting along.........and they had it all worked out way before the pictures were taken.

Duke said to Doogie - "So, you are from Michigan huh?"
"Tell me about it."

So Doogie told his story about his wonderful Mom - Donna - and the troubles that she was having.

Duke - well, being Duke - immediately had a lot of compassion for Doogie and Donna.

So, he told Doogie "Look, you can be King Cat, and I will be King Dog." "But just remember who the Queen is around here - you are going to just love her!"

And they lived happily ever after....................................
