I applied for a secretarial position at a funeral home. They called today and I have an interview tomorrow!! It's only part-time, but at this point I'll take anything. Besides, I also have a shot at the *ahem* adult store.
Hopefully, things are looking up.
Yay donna! Boy, what a vast difference in the two jobs! One is a funeral home, another a "entertainment" store. Good lcuk! I know what its like to be excited over just one job - anything, so long as its a job.

You're right. ANY job gets me excited!! The good thing about the funeral home job is my references are all in the funeral home business!! That's gotta count for something.

The interview went VERY well. I felt totally comfortable with Chris. We discussed the position, which will start out at $11/hr :eek: (that ain't no chump change!!) part-time and then will eventually turn into full time next year. She's going to call me on Friday to let me know when my SECOND interview will be!!!
This place is amazing!! It's a huge complex that is totally dedicated to it's clients. Very calm and serene. When I wrote my thank you note, I included an obituary story I wrote when I worked at the newspaper about a couple who died within 10 hours of each other. I called it a posthumous love story. I hope that will impress her enough to hire me.
