She has Papillary Thyroid cancer, the most treatable and curable type of cancer. She will have her thyroid removed on the 16th and the Dr. expect her to have a 100% recovery!!!
Then 3 weeks later she will have to be in isolation for 3 days while taking Iodine Radiation pills. The pills will kill any remaining cancer cells in her Thyroid.

That is great news!!! Sounds bad doesn't it, but I'm so happy for your family that this is a treatable disease and that she can make a full recovery. The best of a bad situation.
