Milk, good or bad?

Is it bad to give a 5 yr old cat milk? it was only a little bit.... i put stormy outside after i gave it to her... she is known for throwing up after eating canned food... so i figured she might throw up after the milk... she was begging me.... with her pleading cat eyes.... i couldnt take it anymore.... i had to give her a little bit.... how bad is it to give an adult cat milk?

Here is a good article on cats and milk...I give mine a LITTLE warm watered down milk on rare ocassions so as not to upset her tummy. But it's very rare that I do.

Cats are lactose intolerant, so it causes them to have diarrhea.

On rare occasions, I give Basie a teaspoon of it from my cereal bowl. He loves it so much. ;)

Many petstores carry cat milk which is lactose free, and most cats love it! I bought some cheese flavored milk a while ago, and the herd loved it! :D
