Florida PT Meeting??

Kari commented how there needs to be another FL PT meeting, so that she can meet everyone.

Well, as you all know, i've tried many times to put together something, in which only a few people have came each time.


I am willing to try again, but if someone else is willing to figure out somewhere, in the middle where we can meet (maybe somewhere near Valerie's??)


Also, Audrey and Zeke (slleipnir) may be coming down sometime at the end of December. I figure that'd be a great time to have one, since we should have some nice weather around that time.

I'd be more than happy to plan a get-together over this way, reserve a pavillion at the park, buy food, etc.. if everyone's willing to drive over this way. That's the only way *I* can plan a meeting because this is the only place i'm familiar with. :p

Any ideas, times, places, anything are welcome... let me know when/where is good for everyone.

I sooo hope I can go T-T I'm not sure where we'd stay though...probably close to where ever it is?

I Know how hard you have tried to organize a meeting in the past....

My Biggest Opportunity is that You are on the West Coast,and I am on the East coast.....You are about Four hours away from me....which in One day is a little difficult....there and back alone is 8 hours....
I can't stay overnight as I have other responsibilities....

How does Orlando sound????
That is 2 hours from me....and about the same...maybe even closer for you....and I know it is close to Val and Libby....

Unfortunately,CamCamPup is 2 hours South of me...so I don't know if it is convenient for her....

Now,The Next Question,Is there a Dog Park in Orlando??? I don't know,but I could try researching it on the computer....

X-Mas is Great,as I work in Retail....which means I have No Thanksgiving or X-mas.....

There is a dog park in Orlando, but I haven't been to it. Justin and I can check it out someday soon though if you decide on Orlando. Any time is good for us, but Sundays are best. As long as I know ahead of time I can get off work (I make the schedule :D).

Sunday, January 2, 2005 is fine with me.

If you want I can look into this really nice state park we have around here. I only said, maybe around here, because I know it would only be 1 1/2 hours for delidog, 1 hour for Val, and 2 hours for you and anyone in Orlando area.

I'm just trying to think of ideas that would not be to far for one person or other. A happy middle of sorts for everyone.

Anyway let me know if you want to give it a try.

I wish I could go! I was going to visit my boyfriend's parents' house in Florida over Thanksgiving, but I can't go because I don't have anyone to watch my babies. My parents and sister will be in Canada and my best friend will be at the coast. I don't really trust anyone else to watch them. Boo! I hope you guys have lots of fun though if you do have another meeting. And as always, take lots of pics!!!!!!!

I have no problem with going that far. The only thing, I may not be able to bring all three dogs unless my mom and dad both come along. I can handle them all on a walk, but around people and other dogs I like to handle them seperately.

Sunday Jan 5th sounds good to me too, but i'd have to see what my parents think.

I can drive wherever you guys want to meet, a couple hours is no problem.
I too will only probably be able to bring 2 of my dogs, because 4 is a lot to handle for Justin and me in that kind of environment. Buster will defiantly be staying home because he is afraid of new people.

Bah, I won't know until December (maybe 2 weeks before x-mas) if it's a for sure thing..but if everything goes ok with work then it is a for sure thing :X:X -hopeful-

I won't bother asking yet about where I should be staying, but I was thinking somewhere near Kays if there is dog hotel dealies there

There's a pet-friendly hotel right in front of my neighborhood. :)

I have not been to them, But I have been told about Downey Dog Park. A old employee of mine says she takes her dog there, she says it's nice, thats all I know. Still pretty new park.
