My parent's new dog :D

Ever since Ruby and I moved out my parents have been having dog withdrawls :( My mom had wanted a Golden since she was a little girl and decided it was time for her to get one. We've all been keeping our eyes open on PetFinder and just a few days ago my dad found Champ... a sweet male Golden/Lab mix. He just seemed so perfect for them... exactly what they were looking for :) Today my parents, myself, & Ruby took a long drive to Champ's shelter to meet him. We wanted to make sure he and Ruby would get along since we usually visit my parent's at least once a week. Everything went PERFECT! :D Champ is the ideal dog for them. He's five years old, intelligent, obident, playful, and SO SWEET. He is 60 pounds of pure love :D Anywho, onto some photos...

Now I just need to convince mom and dad to join PT ;)

he is so cute!!!jsklfd; look at that face!! can definately see lab & golden in him. (hey.. is that a sore on his shoulder/chest area, in the car photo??) I cant wait to meet him!! you'll have to take me down/over/whatever lol there one of these days. the poop head can just stay here though. lol ;) or did your parents put up a fence?? dont want him wandering off to the bunny yard again.... :mad: punk. anyhoo! haha off to the albummmmmmm!

You had me worried another big dog in your apt? Glad your folks got Champ he looks like a great buddy for Ruby and Brock to play with at the dog park.

*Be jealous* is right. I am so happy for your folks and for Champ. What a lovely story for you to be able to tell us (the second one I've encountered today). The wonderful qualities of both a lab and a golden certainly will make an ideal companion for your folks. From the pictures, he looks as if he is already feeling quite at home.
