I (Pepper) would like to announce that civilization has finally arrived in Anchorage, Alaska. Yessir! Petco has FINALLY opened a store in The Last Frontier!

Mom and Dad were finally able to buy us new beds (aka carpet condoms):p

I don't know what her problem is. It must be a tortie thing.

Everybody, the 300,000 people in Anchorage are pretty excited. Petco has plans to open 3 more stores in Alaska. In their first month of operation, they made TRIPLE what they had projected.

Pepper, you sure do look comfy and happy in that new bed. Sometimes Torties don't always have the best taste in fashion - a towel is soo yesterday! :D

Haaaay! She likes that towel because it compliments her colors!! (....and it does!) And she dares to be different and not go with the new beds like everybody else did because she likes her towel better... (but I bet before it is over with, she gives in and prefers that new bed....)

Cammie....Eddie has a passionate relationship with his towel....so he understands...:D

OOooo, gray carpet condoms! I've never seen them in that color before, but it really goes well with Pepper's and Halo's colorings....which is why I think Cammie doesn't like hers. She wants a nice color coordinated one too. Gray doesn't go well with tortie now does it Cammie? ;) :D :D

Oh, I am taking a drive to Alaska sometime soon! They aren't in the Yukon yet and I haven't heard they are coming.

The funny thing is that I picked out hunter green ones at first (for some reason they didn't have the cream-colored ones like we've usually seen). But, my husband is an artist and he pointed out that gray would be a better choice (and would show less kitty hair).

But, there has been a new development today. Cammie still refuses to sleep in hers, but has now decided that Pepper's bed isn't so bad after all. Whether it's because it was in full sunlight or she's no longer concerned with being color coordinated, I'm not sure. Sigh.... torties sure have definite ideas about things.

IAMS kitty cans: 75 cents
Science Diet cans: 89 cents

Is that more than you guys pay?
Cammie's favorite meal is baby food. The little jars of meat are $1.00. I didn't think that was much, but a friend in Pennsylvania said that was over 20 cents more a jar than she pays. :eek:
