I'm sure the 'tiel moms will be checking back with you soon...Friday nights can be slow on PT;)
okay good. :) I'm not worried about her being sick or anything, she's perfectly healthy, I'm just not sure.....
After allllllllll these weeks, she's STILL 6 weeks old? :p
I really don't know what a bird's skin is supposed to look like......its all covered with feathers!!!
I would think someone who has raised baby tiels before their feathers came in would know. Ask Logan.
Where is the skin showing? Mine were pretty much covered with feathers at 6 weeks old. This was Bennie at 4 weeks old:

They're skin was a dark pinkish purple until the feathers came in. Does your baby still have any pin feathers? Mine were flying at 4-5 weeks old, so their feathers were pretty much "in" by then. I'm wondering if your bird is younger than you thought.
lol! sorry PCB i was in a hurry i think she's like 9 or 10 weeks now. lol :p
Logan- the skin isn't showing, it'a just when i give her scrithchies that i can see her skin, you know, because her feathers kinda move when i scratch her, lol.... :p
Sounds like normal to me!
I have two Cockatiels, I think that color is normal when they are so young. I have seen many young baby tiels with the purplish skin tones.
oh good, cause she's not sick! :sigh:
