Mee-ew. I love Cat of the Day. When KatMa reads the bios sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry. Me-eow! Today we did both.

George, your bio is very touching. Let me tell your purrent(s) that I love them. People who rescue cats [dogs, all animals who are abandoned pets] are people whom I, Sasha the Queen Cat love and admire with all of my heart. TLC does it every time and you story is a testimonial to that. You have grown into the most handsome, classy cat since your purrson(s) found you and began the TLC method of pet rescue.

Smart kitties like you and me learn how to do all kinds of things, like opening cabinets and doors. Turning doorknobs is very difficult. My KatMa personally knows only two cats who mastered that feat so you are very astute, indeed!

Re opening faucets: If the faucet is a lever-type, then do what my darling late brother, Tiggy the Best Cat in the Universe did: You put your head under the faucet spout, push up fast and whip your head out of the way so you don't get wet! Then you have "water on tap" which our Tiggy particularly loved. Tell your purrents to leave the lever-type faucet on the "cold water" position, with the water part moved to the side so the lever is free for you to push up. Mew, the kind of faucet I mean looks like this one:

You are one amazing fellow George, displaying so many of the admirable qualities of your namesake...intelligence, strength, determination and perserverence...Ok, I have to admit you're just a tad bit more handsome than he;) And I'm not sure how much of a "clown" our founding father was, but that just might be your most endearing quality:D You beat the odds sweetheart, found your way to the perfect forever home and lived to grow into one stunning, healthy and happy young man:) Congratulations to you dear George, our fabulous Cat of the Day! What a good rescue! Yer a goodlookin cat - yes you are!

Starving and homeless in the middle of winter, and all of a sudden he had some loving humans to snuggle a full belly up to. No wonder he looks so happy. Congratulations.

Ask your mom to get you a kitty drinking fountain. It's easier than learning to open the faucet! Though no doubt, you could master that task, being the clever boy you are.
